Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiatives have captured the attention of school leaders across the globe looking to stretch budgets while at the same time expanding access to technology. At this time, the road to a successful BYOD implementation is not well paved, but it's a road that must be travelled. Drawing on experiences from several Southern California districts, this session offers a frank and informative conversation on the success and challenges of implementing a BYOD initiative including equitable access, device choice, home-to-school collaboration, and professional development.
