Google Apps: A schoolwide solution for organization and preparation

Google Apps provide schools with an invaluable set of tools that can be easily utilized to provide a structure for schoolwide information and data. Its collaborative features lend itself to a school environment, allowing multiple authors and easy sharing. This session will outline how Google Apps has been used at West Hills High School in Santee, California to prepare two WASC reports, organize committees, track progress, and collaborate within and across PLCs.

Digital Learning Coach, Grossmont Union High School District
Reuben Hoffman is a Social Science teacher turned Digital Learning Coach in the Grossmont Union High School District (San Diego County).  He holds an MA in Curriculum and Educational Technology. Reuben volunteers as Vice President of San Diego CUE (SDCUE).  He is a WeVideo Ambassador and has been recognized as a Google for Education Certified Trainer and Certified Innovator.

Dan McDowell

Director, Instructional Technology, Grossmont Union High School District
Dan is the Director of Instructional Technology for the Grossmont Union High School District. He spent 18 years in the classroom as a history and photography teacher at West Hills HS. In 2008, he was selected as a district teacher of the year. Dan serves as an educational technology leader in his district and around the country. Additionally, he teaches in the Learning, Design and Technology department at San Diego State University.
