Julia Maynard has been teaching sixth grade in San Bruno for seven years. For the first six years she was in a self-contained class at Crestmoor Elementary. This year she moved up to Parkside Middle School and now teaches English, history and Genius Hour. She has worked hard to transition both schools to the digital word by implementing online tools for collaboration and communication. Julia has been a technology leader in the district and has taught various trainings for the teachers in the district. When she isn’t reading tween novels or building ancient Egyptian temples Julia can be found using one of her several apple devices to find new hand-on lessons for her classes. She is serving her second term as the president of the San Bruno Education Association.
